The short answer
You can book IHR Dream Cleaning in two places: on the website or in the IHR Dream app. On the website a booking is six short steps: the service, the property, the details of the visit, the date and time, the address, and a review page with your contact details. The price is built up in front of you from the moment you choose a service, and it includes VAT.
Payment is online, by card, and only after we have confirmed your booking. You send a request with nothing to pay; we confirm the time; you then pay from My bookings on this website, on a secure payment page. A job that has to be priced from photos, or from a starting price, gets its figure from us first. Nothing is paid at the visit.
After you send the booking you get a reference, a copy by email and a page where you can follow it. We then confirm the time. From that page you can add notes, ask for a new time or cancel, and changes are free up to 6 hours before the start. Every price and term mentioned here is on the price list. The rest of this guide takes each stage in turn.
What to have ready before you start
The form takes a couple of minutes if these are to hand. None of them is unusual, but each one can stop a booking halfway.
- The size of the home: a studio, or the number of bedrooms. For a villa, whether it has four to five bedrooms or more. For an office, roughly how large it is.
- A decision on materials. Either our team brings the products and equipment, or you provide everything, including a working vacuum cleaner and a mop.
- The address as a visitor needs it: the building or villa name and number, the apartment number, and how to get in. A map pin helps.
- An email address you can open there and then. The form sends a six-digit code to it before it will accept the booking.
- A mobile number. The form states that it is used only to confirm and manage that booking.
- A bank card, if the service you are booking has a firm price.
- For fabric care, AC work or a repair: clear photos of the item or the fault, ready to send by reply to the confirmation email.
Check the price first, without giving any details
If you only want a figure, the price list has an estimator. You choose the property, the service and the materials and it shows an estimate at once, with no contact details asked for. A button then carries what you chose into the booking form, so nothing has to be entered twice.
If you are not sure how many hours your home needs, settle that before you book. The published guide, from a studio to a villa, is worked through in cleaner-hours and cost by home size.
The website booking, step by step
The form shows which step you are on and lets you go back and edit an earlier answer without losing the rest. This is what each step asks, in order.
Step 1: choose the service
The first screen asks what you would like taken care of, in three groups. Cleaning is booked by the hour: home cleaning, deep cleaning, move-in or move-out, villa cleaning, office cleaning and post-construction cleaning. Fabric care is booked by the item: sofas, carpets and rugs, mattresses and curtains. The third group holds the other services that can be booked online: AC cleaning and duct work, AC servicing, pest control, in-home massage and handyman jobs.
Each card shows how the service is priced before you pick it: a 'from' price for a visit, a price per seat, or the words 'Quote after photos'. You choose one service to start. Depending on which, the next steps show either a live price or exactly what we need in order to prepare a quote.
Step 2: describe the property
This step appears for the hourly cleaning services only. You choose the type of property (apartment, villa or office) and its size: a studio or one to three bedrooms for an apartment, four to five bedrooms or six and more for a villa, and small, medium or large for an office.
As soon as you pick a size, the form suggests a team and a visit length and tells you that both can be changed on the next screen. The suggestion is a starting point for a home in ordinary condition. For the largest villas and for offices the form adds that the hours will be confirmed with you before the visit.
Step 3: set the team, the hours and the materials
For hourly cleaning you set three things. The first is the number of cleaners, up to 4. The second is the hours each one works, from 1 to 8. Deep cleaning, move-in or move-out cleaning and post-construction cleaning start at 2 cleaners and 3 hours and cannot go below that. The third is the materials: we bring them, for AED 5 per cleaner-hour, or you provide them at no extra charge. Post-construction cleaning is offered with our materials only.
You are also asked how often: one visit, monthly, every two weeks, weekly, or twice a week and more. A regular plan takes between 5% and 20% off every visit, with no contract, and future visits can be changed or stopped at any time. A line under the controls shows the sum as you go: cleaners, hours and the total.
With a deep clean or a move-in or move-out clean, the same screen offers to add sofa, carpet, mattress or curtain cleaning to the visit at 10% off, so that the team only comes once.
For a service priced by the item, this step is a short list of counts instead: seats on the sofa, square metres of carpet or the number of small rugs, mattresses by size, curtain panels, AC units, the size of the property for pest control, or the length and number of massage sessions. A handyman job has a box in which you describe the work. The smallest order of priced items on one visit is AED 100, and the summary shows an adjustment line if your items come to less.
Step 4: pick the date and the start time
You can book up to 30 days ahead. The form shows the coming days first, with a calendar for later dates, and then the start times still free on the day you chose, grouped into morning, afternoon and evening. It also shows roughly how long the team will be on site and the time the visit finishes by.
We work every day, 8 AM – 8 PM, and the work has to finish by closing time, so the latest start on offer depends on the length of the visit. A long booking has to start in the first half of the day. A same-day booking needs at least 2 hours of notice and remains subject to a team being available, as explained in how same-day cleaning works. The price does not change with the day or the hour.
If you chose a regular plan, the date you pick is the first visit. The repeat schedule is set up with you after it.
Step 5: give the address and the way in
First the area. The picker marks each area either as having no travel fee or as one where the travel fee applies, which is AED 20 per visit in Al Wathba, Al Shahama, Al Rahba and Al Samha. If your area is not listed you can choose 'Other area', and we call you to confirm coverage before the visit. The areas we cover are on the areas we serve page.
Then come the building or villa name and number, the apartment or villa number and, if you wish, the street or community and a Google Maps link. The form explains why it asks for the pin: it helps the team avoid delays, especially in large towers and villa communities.
The last box is for access notes: parking, a gate code, the security desk. The form asks you to arrange free parking or a visitor pass, and says that if only paid parking is available the parking is added at actual cost. What a tower usually requires of a visiting cleaner is covered in booking a cleaner in an Abu Dhabi tower.
Step 6: review, verify your email and send
The last screen collects your full name, a mobile number and an email address, and shows the whole booking beside them: service, property, team, materials, how often, date and time, area and the price breakdown.
The email address has to be verified before the booking can be sent. You press a button, a six-digit code arrives by email, and you type it in. The code expires after a few minutes, and the form tells you to look in the spam folder if it has not arrived. The reason is practical: your reference, the status link and every later update are sent to that address. If the form thinks the domain is mistyped, it suggests a correction.
Below that are quick notes you can switch on with one tap, such as visitor parking, a gate pass, a building access card, pets at home or a key left with security. A free box takes anything else: priority rooms, allergies, fragile surfaces.
Finally the screen sets out the booking policies, which you tick to accept, and the payment box described below. The button at the bottom reads 'Send my booking request': no card is asked for at this point.
When you see the price, and what is in it
The price is not held back until the end. A summary stays in view beside the form on a computer and at the bottom of the screen on a phone, and it changes each time you change the booking.
It is a breakdown, not a single figure. For an hourly clean it lists the visit for each cleaner, the materials if we bring them, the plan discount, the discount on fabric care added to a deep clean, the travel fee in a far area, and the total. Under the total it states the amount of VAT that is already inside it. There is no same-day, Friday or public-holiday line, because there is no such charge.
A larger booking can show one more line: the booking-size discount, which is 10% off when the work comes to AED 500 or more and 15% off from AED 1,000. Discounts do not add up, so the summary shows either that line or the plan and fabric discounts, whichever takes more off.
The wording of the total tells you what kind of figure it is.
| The summary says | What it means | How it is paid |
|---|---|---|
| Total | A firm price for the visit you built | By card when you send the booking |
| Total, per visit | One visit of a regular plan | Visit by visit; nothing ahead for later visits |
| Estimated total | A starting price, or an area to be confirmed | Online, from My bookings, once the price is confirmed |
| Quote after photos | No figure yet: the job has to be seen | Online, from My bookings, once you have the quote |
What can still change the figure
A firm total changes only if you change the booking, or if you approve extra time on the day. Extra time is offered in 30-minute steps, the team leader asks first, and nothing is added without your agreement. An estimate becomes final when we have seen the photos or confirmed the size of the property. If a price is updated after you book, an email tells you the new total and the booking page shows the figure that applies.
If you are comparing our total with another company's, put both on the same footing first. The method is in how to compare cleaning quotes.
Paying by card
There is one way to pay: online, by card, once we have confirmed your booking. The payment box on the review screen says so, and no card is asked for when you send the request.
A booking with a firm price
We check the team and confirm your time, and an email tells you so. From then on your booking page shows a Pay now button. It takes you to a secure payment page run by our payment provider: the card is entered there, not on our site, and we never see the card details. When the payment goes through you are returned to your booking page, which shows the booking as paid, and an email confirms that the payment was received. The visit is booked once it is paid, and there is nothing to pay at the visit.
If the payment page does not open, or you close it before paying, the booking is not lost. It is saved under your reference, and you can pay from the booking page when you are ready.
A job priced from photos or from a starting price
Here we confirm the price as well as the time. Once we have, you pay online from My bookings on this website. For a job of AED 1,000 or more, 30% is paid in advance once it is confirmed, and the balance is paid online before the visit.
Regular plans, receipts and tax invoices
A regular plan is not paid for in advance. The total shown is for one visit, and there is no contract and no membership fee. A receipt for a paid booking can be opened from the booking page and printed or saved as a PDF. Every price includes VAT, and a tax invoice showing the VAT contained in the total is issued on request for any booking.
What happens after you send it
Sending the form starts a sequence that is the same for every service. The main stages each produce an email, and the booking page shows the same status.
- A reference number appears straight away, and a copy of the booking is emailed to the address you verified. Keep the reference. Together with your phone number it opens the booking on any device.
- At this point the booking is a request, not a confirmed slot. We check the team for your time and confirm it during working hours, by phone or email. The booking page updates when we do.
- If the service needs photos, reply to the confirmation email with them. The method and the final price are confirmed before the visit.
- Once the visit is assigned, the team details appear on the booking page, with the arrival window.
- The day before, a reminder email asks you to make sure someone can let the team in.
- On the day you are told when the team is on its way and again when the work has started.
- On arrival a short walk-through confirms the priorities before work begins. The team follows the checklist for the service, and a final check with you closes the visit.
- When the visit is complete you get a last email. If anything was missed, you have 24 hours to tell us.
What to do while you wait for the confirmation
Open the booking page and add what the form did not ask: which parking level, the gate code, which rooms matter most. The page invites these notes so that the team arrives prepared. If your building wants visitors registered in advance, do it now and not on the morning of the visit.
The same four stages, in brief, are on the page that explains how booking works.
Changing, moving or cancelling a booking
Everything is done from the My bookings page. A booking made on that device appears there by itself. On another device, or for a booking made by phone, you enter the reference and the phone number used for the booking. No password is needed. If you have lost the reference, the page can email the booking link to the address on the booking.
- Notes. You can edit how to get in and the instructions for the team before the visit, and the team sees the updated notes.
- A new time. Choose another date and start time and send the request. The booking stays as it is until we confirm the new time, and you are emailed whether or not the change can be made.
- Cancelling. You confirm with the last four digits of your phone number. It is free up to 6 hours before the start time.
Late changes and the two fees
Inside those 6 hours the booking can no longer be cancelled or moved online, and the page asks you to call. A late cancellation costs AED 30. If the team arrives and cannot get into the property, the charge is AED 60. Both figures are listed in the booking policies on the review screen, so you see them before you send anything.
The other cases, such as a visit that we have to move ourselves, are covered on the cancellation policy page. The number to call is +971 52 723 5299, every day, 8 AM – 8 PM.
If something was missed, and refunds
Tell us within 24 hours of the visit and we send a team back to re-clean the booked areas at no charge. Photos of what was missed help us brief the cleaners, but they are not a condition. The re-clean covers what was agreed for the original booking. Work that was never part of it is quoted as new work.
After a completed visit the booking page asks how it went. A low rating is not simply filed: the published response is that we call you to put it right.
Where a re-clean is not practical, the refund policy sets out when a partial or full refund applies and what is not covered. A refund that has been agreed goes back to the original payment method, which here means the card you used, and how long it takes to appear depends on your bank.
Website or app: which to use
Both reach the same company and the same teams, at the same prices. Bookings can be made in the IHR Dream app as they can on the website, so use whichever you find easier.
The website needs nothing installed and no account. A booking is found by its reference and your phone number, and one made in the browser stays listed on that device. This guide describes the website's steps. It does not describe the app's screens, and it quotes no price that is not on the website's price list.
What to check in any cleaning app before you enter a card
These apply to any home cleaning app or booking site, ours included. Each takes a minute to check.
- The total, with VAT, is shown before the payment screen, not after it.
- You can see what the total is made of: the cleaners, the hours, the materials and any fee.
- The cancellation terms are stated before you pay, with the notice period and the amounts.
- The company behind the app is named, with a trade licence number and a phone number that is answered.
- The card is entered on a secure payment page, and a receipt arrives by email.
- There is a stated remedy if the visit goes wrong, and a way to reach a person about it.
Who is behind the booking
In our case the company is IHR Dream General Maintenance and Cleaning L.L.C., trade licence CN-4175959, with an office in Al Danah, Abu Dhabi. How to check a licence and what else to look at before trusting a company with your home is set out in how to choose a cleaning company in Abu Dhabi.
Booking pest control, AC work, fabric care or a repair online
The same form takes the services that are not priced by the hour. There is no property step, so the booking is shorter, and the price behaves differently for each.
Pest control
You choose the size of the property. The starting price is AED 149 for a studio, and the service page gives the starting prices for larger homes, from AED 179 for one bedroom up to villas from AED 299. The summary shows an estimate, and the price is confirmed with the pest and the home before the visit. Use the notes to say which pest you have seen, in which rooms and for how long. What a treatment covers is on the pest control page.
AC cleaning, servicing and ducts
Split-unit cleaning is AED 99 a unit and AC servicing AED 129 a unit, and you enter the number of units. Duct cleaning starts from AED 350 for a studio or one-bedroom apartment and from AED 750 for a villa, and the form states that the final price follows the photos.
Sofas, carpets, mattresses and curtains
Sofas are entered by the seat (AED 30 each), carpets by the square metre (AED 10) or as small rugs, mattresses by size and curtains by the panel (AED 30). The form asks for photos by reply to the confirmation email, so that the safe method and the final price are confirmed before the visit.
Handyman jobs and repairs
The form shows no total for these. You describe the job in a sentence or two, for example a dripping kitchen tap and two cupboard doors to rehang, then send the request and reply to the booking email with photos. We quote before any work, and the quote is free. A plumbing visit starts from AED 99 and an electrical visit from AED 99, each for one specialist's first hour on site, with parts and longer jobs quoted from the photos; handyman work has no starting figure. Where a job has to be seen and not just photographed, an on-site inspection is free in every area we serve. The photos and measurements worth sending are listed in how to get an accurate repair quote.
In-home massage
You choose 60 minutes (AED 199) or 90 minutes (AED 279) and the number of sessions, then the date, the time and the address as for any other booking.
Common questions
Do I need an account or a password to book on the website?
No. A booking is opened with its reference and the phone number it was made with. Bookings made on a device are remembered on that device, which is convenient on your own phone and worth clearing on a shared computer. The My bookings page says as much, and has a button to forget every booking on the device.
Is my time confirmed as soon as I pay?
Not yet. Sending the booking, and paying for it where the price is firm, places the request. We then check the team and confirm the time during working hours, and both the booking page and an email tell you when that is done. If we cannot keep a time, our published policy is to contact you as early as possible and offer the earliest alternative.
Can I book a visit for a time when I will not be at home?
Yes. Our home cleaning page says that many customers leave a key with the building concierge or arrange access in advance. Write the arrangement in the access notes, and use the 'Key with security' note on the review screen. Make sure the phone number on the booking will be answered during the visit, in case the team has a question.
Can I book by phone instead?
Yes. If the form cannot send a booking, it says so and offers to make the booking for you by phone. The number is +971 52 723 5299, and we answer every day, 8 AM – 8 PM. A booking made by phone can be opened on the My bookings page with its reference and your phone number. Payment is online by card in every case.
Is there a discount on a larger booking?
Yes, and there is nothing to enter. The form gives 10% off a booking of AED 500 or more, and 15% off from AED 1,000. The size of a booking is the price of its work, which is the visit, the materials and any items, before any discount and without the travel fee. The percentage comes off that figure, rounded to a whole dirham, and shows as its own line in the price summary.
Take a deep clean of a four to five bedroom villa at the published team of 4 cleaners for 5 hours each, with your own products. The work comes to AED 580, so AED 58 comes off and the total is AED 522. It is not added to a regular plan's discount or to the discount on fabric care with a deep clean: the form compares them and gives you the larger saving.
Can I add a job after the booking has been sent?
Before the visit, add it to the notes on the booking page, and call if it is likely to need more time than you booked. During the visit, extra tasks can be added by agreement with the team leader. If they need more time, the extra time and its cost are confirmed with you before the team goes on.
What if I entered the wrong time or the wrong address?
For the time, use 'Ask for a new time' on the booking page. It is free more than 6 hours ahead. For a wrong building or apartment number, call us so that the address itself is corrected, and do not rely on a note alone.
Start with the price, then book
If you have not yet seen a figure for your home, start with the price list and its estimator. The pricing questions people ask most, from VAT to travel fees, are answered on the same page and in the frequently asked questions.
When you are ready, book online or in the IHR Dream app. Choose the service, describe the home, pick a time and check the summary before you send it. Payment is by card online, we work every day, 8 AM – 8 PM, and any change made more than 6 hours before the visit costs nothing.
